1:00 PM | Panel on Shared Resources: The Missing Link to Realizing Significant Strategic Value with Digital Innovation Moderated by Nils Fonstad with panelists Anna Bergene Moe (Posten Bring) and Gregoire De Chaunac-Lanzac (BNP Paribas Personal Finance) MIT CISR research has found that companies that realize significant strategic value with digital innovation invest in both a portfolio of digital innovation initiatives and in hubs of shared resources. The shared resources can include funding, talent, and digital services. The right set of shared resources helps most initiatives in a portfolio to scale and realize strategic impact. Yet many organizations struggle to build valuable shared resources. This panel, featuring speakers from BNP Paribas and Posten Bring, will discuss critical success factors for building shared resources that address the needs of initiatives and the organization. |
1:45 PM | Going Faster Is Not Enough: Add Innovation to Outperform Stephanie Woerner Surprisingly, going faster in business doesn’t differentiate much. In today’s digital world, top performers are both faster to market and better at innovating to generate new revenue because they have the necessary technologies and mechanisms. In this session, Stephanie will present the latest MIT research that identifies four organizational drivers that support both speed and innovation—and then discuss how, when done right, they can contribute to top performance. She will illustrate the research with a case study of Mercedes-Benz. This research was done in collaboration with Jan Brecht, Global CIO of Mercedes-Benz and is based on a 2022 survey of 721 companies. |
