About Alan
Alan is exploring how organizations partner effectively with others of various sizes or types. Drawing on in-depth qualitative data from start-ups, SMEs, banks, corporations, and government agencies, he has found that successful large organizations manage a portfolio of relationships within their complex ecosystems. The proper guardrails allow managers and entrepreneurs to move quickly with executive support.
Alan's research draws on his background in financial services, the public sector, and multinational consulting companies. Based in Sydney, Alan helps sponsor organizations in Asia-Pacific access MIT CISR resources and inform the center's research agenda. He is a Senior Visiting Fellow at UNSW’s School of Information Systems and Technology Management, where he teaches and supervises research. He also publishes and conducts research with the Government of New South Wales.
