MIT CISR Board & C-Suite Online Summit 2024

December 10 & 11, 2024

The MIT CISR Board & C-Suite Online Digital Summit is an annual invitation-only event for board members and C-level executives at our member organizations (see list below). Our 2024 program features live sessions with Peter Weill, Nick van der Meulen, and Stephanie Woerner, plus a recorded conversation with a very special guest—Jean-Pascal Tricoire, Chairman and former CEO of Schneider Electric—on how Schneider transformed from selling products to providing Energy Services.

More details...

This live online event will be delivered via Zoom two times to make it as convenient as possible for our global audience to participate:

Option 1: December 10, 4:30–6:00 p.m. (US Eastern Time)
Option 2: December 11, 7:00–8:30 a.m. (US Eastern Time)

Our agenda

Each option will feature the following sessions:

  • Update on MIT CISR 3.0 with Stephanie Woerner
  • Unleashing Workforce Potential with AI with Nick van der Meulen
In this session, Nick will highlight common skills gaps in organizations facing continuous technological change; demonstrate how to identify and address strategically important skills gaps, based on a case study of Johnson & Johnson; share what it takes to succeed with AI-powered skills inference for strategic workforce planning and personalized employee development; and illustrate the importance of multimodal learning and how to foster a culture of continuous learning.
  • Pre-recorded Conversation between Jean-Pascal Tricoire, Chairman and former CEO of Schneider Electric, and Peter Weill
This conversation features Schneider Electric’s transformation into a stock market leader leader combining electrification and digitization to address our climate needs. Today Schneider Electric generates 55% of its revenue from IOT connections in customers' buildings that manage energy efficiency. Customers using this service report 30% reduction in energy use. Jean-Pascal Tricoire describes the strategic, cultural, technical and leadership changes required to move from a seller of energy products to a provider of energy efficiency services.
  • Become a Real Time Business for Top Performance with Peter Weill
In our global study we found businesses operating more in real-time performed well above their peers on both margin and growth. These more real-time businesses (RTB) used trusted data to enable faster decisions to operate and then adjust their businesses while providing more seamless digital customer journeys and empowered employee experiences. In a world of increased volatility, firms operating more in ‘real-time’ were better able to sense and respond to opportunities and risk and deliver better, more innovative, customer experience, greater organizational efficiency and better risk management. In this session, Peter will share the RTB framework, case studies and recommendations developed from work with Insight Partners surveying 259 companies globally and ask the participants to discuss how real-time they operate today and where they should be more real-time.

A voucher code is required to register for this invitation-only event. Contact Chris Foglia (cfoglia@mit.edu) if you need assistance.
