The MIT CISR Community is made up of CISR’s staff members, associated faculty members at MIT and other universities, the employees of MIT CISR patron and sponsor organizations, and other IT and non-IT professionals who are interested in CISR’s research. The chief focus of CISR’s work—how organizations get business value from digitization—means that both IT practitioners and business executives find our research findings thought provoking and inspiring. MIT CISR is a global organization based in Cambridge, Massachusetts with sponsors and colleagues in North and South America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
It is our hope that the MIT CISR Community helps MIT fulfill its mission “…to advance knowledge and educate students in science, technology, and other areas of scholarship that will best serve the nation and the world in the 21st century. The Institute is committed to generating, disseminating, and preserving knowledge, and to working with others to bring this knowledge to bear on the world’s great challenges…. We seek to develop in each member of the MIT community the ability and passion to work wisely, creatively, and effectively for the betterment of humankind.”
